Surround Sound

I wonder if anyone can give some advice about the best surround sound systems to get? Mainly for sport and movies. I am getting my living re-done with imbedded wires etc and want to invest in a good system. Not sure how much I am willing to spend. Its about the quality.

Too many factors, it all depends on the room you want it in, size and acoustics etc.

So what's good for one person could be complete opposite to what you need.
